One Marylebone, Christmas Party
The Brief
For this project, our aim was to find a special venue that would outshine even the two previous years’ choices when we’d worked with the client – Having chosen the year before to host at the iconic Gherkin, this was to be a challenge and we were excited to take it on!
The Venue
Finally, we found the perfect setting – Sloan Reception and Sloan Hall of One Marylebone. A glorious but retired church that still retains many of its beautiful, authentic period features, this unique and impressive location was a success, providing our client with another memorable Christmas party for the third year running.
The Party
A relatively large group were welcomed as guests to celebrate the Christmas season as a thank you for their work efforts throughout the year.
Out on the street, the bright fire of large, gas-lit torches glowed warmly, as guests walked a red carpet into the Reception Hall.
Once inside, people were met with cool, white lounge furniture adorned with blue tealight candle holders and listened to good music, enjoyed champagne and canapes, along with the company of a caricaturist who amused the guests with their talents!
To keep the beauty of the main hall a secret until later, we opted to temporarily section this area off.
Expressions of awe were shared between guests when dinner was announced and the Main Hall stood unveiled in all its glory. Blue and silver adorned the interior while the lighting perfectly showcased the beauty of the building. The tables shimmered and large glass vases sat atop them, holding small glittering spheres that caught in the light.
Once dinner was over, the Alter area-turned-dancefloor bustled with people enjoying a good dance as the evening went on, while the large bar flowed drinks to people all through the night!
