The Brief
It’s always a pleasure to welcome a client come back year on year, but it does present one particular challenge…we have to do better than last year’s best!
This time, one of Uptown Event’s longest running clients approached us, requesting that this year, we do something a little different. Having planned their festive celebrations for the last 20 consecutive years, the client specifically requested a venue closer to where their offices are based. Previously, the events had always been in the West End.
The Venue
The venue chosen was an exclusive hire of LSO @ St Luke’s. This is an old church that had become the home of the London Symphony Orchestra. This unique venue was transformed with the help of lighting, a beautifully dressed reception and dining area.
The venue started as a blank canvas and everything had to be brought in for the night, starting with the lighting of the outside of the building in the company’s corporate colours, through to the main room with all the furniture, intelligent lighting and a specialist directional sound system, dance floor and professional DJ.
As the guests entered the room, they were greeted with festive cocktails and canapes which were followed by a fantastic 3-course dinner. All the guests partied for the rest of the night and a fantastic evening was had by all.
